Using dvtm inside of screen for two days now with almost zero config (except changing mod-keys and disabling mouse support) and I'm pretty sure this is here to stay with me. A really smooth experience, helping a lot to feel at home in a text-only environment.. avoiding more and more of the modern web and other enshittification- and dependency hells. 💙

Have you met.. termshark? It's a "wireshark-inspired tui for tshark" and it really rocks! Instead of transferring pcaps to gui systems, I now just scp them to my vps and examine them there with termshark. It's super intuitive.. I just love it.

I'm yast installing the first Linux distro I've ever used; SuSE Linux 6.0. It took me a week to get X running back then on my 14' CRT. Really exited to see how this works out now.. Please make sure that CD number 3 is in your drive! ..and "Have a lot of fun..."
