Rain Sounds in a moving car

"Rain Sounds in a moving car at night with rain on the car roof - driving in the rain through the empty Roads in Germany with windshield wipers and the noise of a car engine." Download once, listen anywhere. 💙 🧠 https://youtu.be/EU61maNlN3M

Microsoft NetMeeting

I wish that deranged collaboration tool #teams we are being tortured with nowadays would be more like its ancient predecessor: Microsoft #NetMeeting. Its feature set was ahead of its time and the clean, native UI was made for productivity. Unfortunately - besides being EOL - it doesn't support IPv6 & is based on H.323, which means it won't work behind NAT offhand.

My first distro

Just discovered #myfirstdistro and here's mine: #Suse #Linux 6.0 - It happened at a second-hand shop for hard- and software; between Data Becker and MS Frontpage boxes there was a copy of Suse. The back-cover had a screenshot of what looked very similar to Chigago shell, just a little different. It was #KDE 2. That was when I first realised that there are obviously other systems to operate PCs. I bought that box for 5 Deutsche Mark. 🙃 One week later I managed to successfully start #XFree86 😅

Kristall browser

I recently stumbled upon Kristall - "a browser without support for css/js/wasm or graphical websites. It can display user-styled documents in several formats, including gemini, html, markdown, … provided by a server via gemini, gopher, http, finger, …" As it supports not only Gemini & Gopher, but also HTTP/S, it's a nice way to view a stripped down version of the web. 💙
